Rate: $34.68/hr Candidate Pay Rate

Position overview: Serves as a Senior Business Systems Analyst for the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT). This role acts as a primary bridge between business units, technical teams, and project leadership. The analyst is responsible for problem-solving in a consultative project setting, cultivating stakeholder relationships, eliciting business processes, and documenting comprehensive business requirements and user stories to support state IT projects.

Key resopnsibilities:

• Requirements Gathering & Documentation: Elicit, analyze, and document clear business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories for technology initiatives.

• Stakeholder Management: Cultivate and manage active business relationships across multiple technical, data, business, and leadership stakeholder groups.

• Process Analysis: Analyze existing business processes and workflows to identify technical or operational improvements and drive solutions in a project setting.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with developers, project managers, and leadership throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure technical solutions meet business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Only local candidates residing in Central Indiana will be considered.

• Commitment to work onsite with remote flexibility upon request.

• Willingness to participate in a 2-round interview process (1st round webcam, 2nd round in-person).

• Strong technical, written, and oral communication skills tailored for diverse audiences (technical, data, leadership, and business).

Experience:

• 8+ Years: Experience as a Business Analyst, consultant, or similar technology/government role.

• 8+ Years: Business analysis and consultative problem-solving experience in project settings.

• 8+ Years: Cultivating and managing business relationships with diverse stakeholders.

• 8+ Years: Business requirements gathering and user story creation/documentation.

• 8+ Years: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Preferred experience:

• Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Hands-on experience working with Azure DevOps for tracking work items and user stories.

• Experience supporting business processes, eliciting requirements, and collaborating with stakeholders within a Salesforce environment.

• Salesforce Certified Business Analyst Certification.
