Chief Operating OfficerRiverview Health is a healthcare delivery system located in Hamilton County, Indiana. Founded in 1909, it was the first hospital in the County and is currently one of the largest employers with over 1,500 dedicated professionals. Riverview Health has grown considerably since 2018 to include an additional hospital, three free-standing ER/Urgent care facilities and the addition of several new specialty practices.We are seeking a Chief Operating Officer with hospital and healthcare experience who will help us continue our vision of redefining the healthcare experience, and becoming the best place to work, practice medicine, and receive care. The Chief Operating officer will use data, and their knowledge, to identify and implement activities that enhance operations, improve processes and drive the strategic direction of the organization. This executive role also manages and directs the daily business operations of assigned areas, working closely with department heads to ensure the delivery of effective, efficient and quality services.Key Job Responsibilities:Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for assigned department heads.Serve as a resource to identify opportunities to increase efficiency, reduce costs, effectively utilize resources and achieve quality goals and objectives.Plan and direct major program planning and development goals and objectives that support the operational strategic plan.Direct preparation of operational reports to meet strategic goals.Work effectively with members of the executive staff.Where appropriate, represent the hospital to the external market, as well as internally through the application of community relations and marketing activities.Serve as the organization's privacy and compliance officer.Analyze information to develop and support management decisions.Other duties as assigned.Riverview Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer with locations throughout Hamilton County, Indiana.Job RequirementsRequired: Bachelor's Degree in Health Related Field or in Management/BusinessPreferred: Master's Business Administration, Master's Health AdministrationRequired: Three (3) years demonstrated management experience with operational oversight for healthcare organization with greater than 50 beds.Preferred: Five (5) years or greater experience as COO in free standing Hospital with greater than 100 acute and non-acute beds.
