School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Scarborough, Maine

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
State licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP
Experience or interest in working within school environments
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, families, and staff
Meticulous documentation and case management abilities
Dedication to fostering growth in students with various communication challenges

Your Daily Impact:

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for a K-12 caseload
Develop and implement individualized education and therapy plans according to students' unique needs
Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists as part of a multidisciplinary team
Monitor student progress and regularly update IEPs and related reports
Deliver engaging therapy sessions, using evidence-based interventions and resources
Educate school staff and caregivers on strategies for supporting student communication skills within the classroom and beyond
