Facilities Engineering Manager

The Facilities Engineering Manager leads all aspects of manufacturing facilities, utilities, and engineering support to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant production. This role is accountable for equipment reliability, facility infrastructure, preventive maintenance, capital projects, and safety programs, while driving efficiency and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. Core Responsibilities Facilities Oversight - Manage HVAC, purified water, compressed air, boilers, chillers, cleanrooms, and utilities. Equipment Reliability - Implement preventive maintenance, work order systems, and spare parts management to minimize downtime. Capital Projects - Lead expansions, installations, and upgrades; manage CapEx budgets and vendor coordination. Process Improvement - Introduce automation, robotics, and Lean practices to improve efficiency and reduce costs. Safety & Compliance - Ensure OSHA, EPA, and FDA cGMP compliance; conduct audits and corrective actions. Leadership - Supervise engineers and technicians, provide training, and develop succession planning strategies. Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and suppliers; report on budgets and project status. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Environmental) or equivalent. 5-10 years of facilities engineering or manufacturing leadership experience. Strong knowledge of cGMP, FDA, OSHA, EPA regulations, and engineering validation principles. Proven track record managing teams, contractors, and preventive maintenance programs.
