Senior Systems Engineer

Overview There’s a Senior Systems Engineer opportunity with a top tier law firm in Manhattan that’s continuing to invest heavily in its infrastructure and technology. You’ll be part of a senior Infrastructure and Security team, owning and improving core systems that support attorneys and staff across a global environment. The firm has seen significant growth over the past decade and is not slowing down. With continued expansion, there’s a real focus on building out infrastructure the right way to support that scale. The environment is heavily Microsoft focused. Responsibilities Hands-on Hyper-V architecture, performance tuning, and lifecycle management across production environments, including System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM). Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, and DHCP. Participate in VMware to Hyper-V conversion work. Work with enterprise storage platforms and Cisco UCS environments. Collaborate with a cloud team specializing in Azure on hybrid initiatives. Automate tasks using PowerShell; contribute to an automation-driven culture. Own and improve core systems to support attorneys and staff in a global environment. Qualifications / Desired Experience Senior-level infrastructure engineer with hands-on experience in large-scale Microsoft environments. Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V, SCVMM) and storage solutions and Cisco UCS. Experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, DHCP. Experience with cloud integration and hybrid Azure deployments. Strong scripting/automation skills (PowerShell). Ability to work in a highly regulated, performance- and security-focused environment. Strong collaboration skills and a desire to take infrastructure ownership and architecture.
