Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 2+ years of OR experience and an active MI RN license.

Job Details

• Level II Trauma Center with Comprehensive Stroke Center serving a wide range of surgical specialties,
• Operating Room unit supporting minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgical procedures,
• Uses Epic EMR,
• Afternoon shift, 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM,
• No weekend requirements,
• One 12-hour on-call shift required weekly,

Job Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required (compact license not accepted),
• Current BLS certification (AHA),
• 2+ years of RN Operating Room experience required,
• Level II Trauma experience required,
• Proficiency in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, Gen/Gyn, and Urology procedures required,
• Recent travel work experience highly preferred,
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to Operating Room specialty required,
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required,
• Active LARA and/or Nursys verification showing active Michigan license required,

Additional Information

• Assess surgical patient needs and develop individualized care plans before, during, and after procedures,
• Supervise OR room activity, coordinate schedule changes, assemble equipment and supplies, and monitor the sterile field,
• Communicate with patients, families, physicians, OR team members, and ancillary departments,
• Participate in staff development through in-services, continuing education, and precepting opportunities,
• Hospital-provided dress code,
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered for this single 13-week contract only,
• Maximum of 5 days RTO may be requested during the assignment
