Travel RN - Telemetry - Progressive Care Unit

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Cardiac Step Down night shift position requiring tele cardiac experience and an active MI license.

Job Details

• Work in the PCU Cardiac Step Down unit of a full-service hospital with a level II trauma center and Comprehensive Stroke Center,
• All telemetry patient population with 4:1 ratios, sometimes stretching to 5:1,
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7p-7:15a,
• Every other weekend and holiday required,
• No on-call requirements,
• Floating to other PCU/Med Surg floors as needed,
• Uses Epic EMR,

Job Requirements

• Active Michigan (MI) RN license required, compact license not accepted,
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA),
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,
• Tele cardiac experience required,
• Skills checklist current within 1 year pertinent to PCU specialty required,
• 2 supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required,
• LARA and/or Nursys verification of active MI license required,

Additional Information

• Assess patients for physical, emotional, psych/social and family support needs,
• Organize and coordinate all aspects of patient care based on patient needs,
• Evaluate patient progress against plan of care or clinical path,
• Collaborate with healthcare team members in planning and implementing total patient care,
• Navy blue scrub color required,
• Recent travel work history highly preferred,
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will be considered for a single 13-week contract only,
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
