Consumer Loan Officer

CCCU is looking for a Consumer Loan Officer to evaluate, authorize and deny consumer loan applications for consumers. You will act as a liaison between members and our credit union, helping identify the products and services that best support their financial success. You will assist qualified applicants in acquiring loans in a timely, accurate, courteous and confidential manner. This position is not commission-based or incentive-based, allowing you to focus on providing members with the lending solutions that best meet their needs. Responsibilities Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications, evaluating credit reports and providing documentation within specified time limits Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans Determine all applicable ratios and metrics and set up debt payment plans, GAP, MRC and other loan related services Assess member needs, explore all options, introduce different types of loans, and cross-sell products and services to accomplish company and department goals Go the ‘extra mile’ to build relationships, and enhance member loyalty and satisfaction throughout the underwriting process Operate in compliance with laws and regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) policies and procedures, and adhere to lending compliance guidelines Other responsibilities as assigned Qualifications 4-year degree or some college preferred. 2+ years’ experience Credit and/or Consumer Lending experience in a bank or credit union 2+ years’ customer service experience with an ability to cross-sell products and services Solid understanding of consumer credit and underwriting, including knowledge of Consumer and Home Equity lending in a Centralized Lending environment Familiarity with computers and banking applications/software, including MS Office and in-house data processing systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a goal oriented environment with good organizational skills and accuracy while maintaining a positive attitude Benefits Health, dental and vision insurance Health Savings/ Flexible Spending accounts 401(k) and pension plans Life insurance and supplemental insurance Paid time off out of the office – Vacation time, Sick time and Paid Holidays Employee referral program Plus much more! #J-18808-Ljbffr CITY & COUNTY CREDIT UNION
