Outside Sales Representative

About the Role

AC Hydraulics is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to grow our commercial and industrial customer base throughout the Daytona Beach area. This is a pure sales role — you won't be turning wrenches or running service calls. Your job is to get in front of decision-makers, build relationships, and win business for our hydraulics shop.

You'll spend your time on the road calling on construction companies, fleet operators, agricultural operations, marine facilities, manufacturers, and other businesses that rely on hydraulic equipment — introducing them to AC Hydraulics' repair, parts, and service capabilities and converting them into accounts.

What You'll Do

• Prospect and cold-call new commercial and industrial accounts in the Daytona Beach / Volusia County market
• Build and maintain a pipeline of leads and opportunities
• Conduct in-person sales visits with facility managers, fleet managers, and business owners
• Present AC Hydraulics' services and value proposition to prospective customers
• Negotiate and close new account agreements and service contracts
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts to drive repeat and referral business
• Track sales activity, pipeline, and account notes in CRM
• Collaborate with the shop team to ensure smooth handoff of new accounts

What We're Looking For

• Proven outside/B2B sales experience — industrial, fleet, construction, or related trades a strong plus
• Self-starter who's comfortable prospecting and cold-calling
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Organized, disciplined about follow-up and pipeline management
• Comfortable working independently with sales targets

 

 

Compensation

• Base pay: $18–$22/hour , based on experience — in line with current Daytona Beach-area base rates for outside sales roles
• Commission: 8–10% on new business gross profit/sales , uncapped, paid monthly
• Mileage/vehicle allowance or company vehicle for sales travel
• Realistic total compensation for a solid performer: $55,000–$75,000+/year , with strong performers exceeding that as the account base grows

(Base and commission percentage should be fine-tuned depending on whether you want this person prospecting cold accounts from scratch or working a mix of warm leads and referrals — happy to model a couple of pay structures if useful.)
