End Date: Open-ended/Contract

Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Hours/week: 40

Employment Type: Contract

Licenses/Certs: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related field required

Experience: Prior experience in child welfare investigations preferred

Pay & Benefits

Pay Rate: $30.25/hour

Overtime: $45.37/hour

Benefits: Pay package discussed upon application; mileage reimbursed

What You'll Do

• Conduct initial and ongoing investigations of child maltreatment reports
• Perform safety and risk assessments for children and families
• Develop and monitor safety and intervention plans
• Document all investigative activities accurately and thoroughly
• Prepare detailed reports for court and legal proceedings
• Collaborate with law enforcement and legal stakeholders during investigations
• Ensure compliance with protocols and agency policies

What You Need

Required:

• Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Nursing, Criminal Justice, or related field
• Prior experience in child welfare investigations is preferred, but not mandatory
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred:

• Experience with child safety assessments and investigation processes
• Knowledge of child maltreatment signs and reporting procedures
