Project Coordinator/Project EngineerThe Project Coordinator/Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in the successful planning, design, and execution of commercial construction projects across the United States with a high focus in NE Ohio. This position requires managing technical aspects of projects from initial concept through completion, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and client specifications. The Project Coordinator/Project Engineer will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, oversee the preparation of detailed engineering designs and shop drawings, and manage project schedules and budgets to meet deadlines and cost targets.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related engineering discipline.0-2 years of PE/Construction experience (Preferred)Responsibilities:Assist in creating and maintaining Project ScheduleCreate Request for Quotations, collect and qualify quotations, tabulate quotations, for PM's approval for all Requests for Proposal.Assist Project Manager/Superintendent in creating RFI's, FWD,s and BulletinsAssist Project Manager/Superintendent with Scope of Work changesRequest Bid EvaluationsUtilize the project management softwareCreate and distribute Project Meeting Minutes.Maintains subcontractor list as assigned for bidding utilizing the Company's selected computer program(s).Transmits invitation to bid letters using current methodologies as directed.Assist Estimator / Project Manager in tracking bidders.Assembles Scope of Work Book on a project by project basis. Sends Bid Documents out for printing and distributes to Subcontractors.Contacts unsuccessful bidders to secure return of Bid Documents books.Transmits submittals to Architects and transmits submittals back to subcontractors after they have been approved by the Architect.Tracks and Files Certified Payroll reports by project as required.Scans and files project progress photosDrafts and or otherwise prepares memoranda and bulletins on project changes and transmits to appropriate subcontractor.Assists in creating presentation materials.Assists in the compilation of the Monthly Progress Reports as directed.Assist in taking Meeting Minutes as directedPerforms any other task or duty as may be directed by Project Managers or the Office Manager.Other Role Responsibilities:Other duties as assigned.Conducts actions in a professional and unbiased manner.Complies with all company and site policies and best practice standards.Continuously develops proficiency and understanding in the role.Maintains a professional appearance and workspace.Participates in and complies with all company safety and quality programs and procedures.Utilizes relevant Welty Technology to support all assigned responsibilities.Knowledge, Skills & Ability:Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner.Communication skills, verbal and written.Above average mathematical skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities.The use of analytical and observational skills which demonstrate an ability to organize, direct, budget, control and manage projects.Proficiency in MS Office.Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, specifications and contractual documents.Proficiency in construction software.Proficiency in required construction technology.Knowledge of the means and methods of construction management.Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.Knowledge of Lean process and philosophy.Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally.Certifications and Professional Affiliations:Successful completion of company training and role-specific professional development coursework, within required timeframe (Required).Successful completion and maintenance of First Aid Certification, CPR (Required).All OSHA training required to supervise project.Work Environment:Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.This is a traveling role and the individual will need to travel out of state for periods of time to complete projects as necessaryMust be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet project demands.Normal office/climate controlled environment, but may also be exposed to extreme conditions (hot or cold).Frequent activity: Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen.Occasional activity: Standing, Walking, Bending, Reaching above Shoulder, Pushing, Pulling, Climbing.Disclaimers:This role description indicates in general the nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities and other essential functions (as covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act) expected of an incumbent.All activities will be performed in support of the strategy, vision and values of Welty.
