Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Every 3rd Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care for Labor and Delivery patients including high-risk deliveries, preeclampsia with severe features, gestational hypertension, preterm labor, diabetes, and placental abnormalities
• Assist with and support special procedures including D&C, cerclage, and Cook's catheter placement for induction
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret findings in accordance with unit protocols
• Float within the Labor and Delivery specialty as needed
• Work required holidays as scheduled and every third weekend per unit requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Maryland or valid Compact RN license at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience (candidates with strong experience and active certifications may be considered)
• Must not be a first-time traveler
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• NRP certification (NRP or AAP accepted)
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification and C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring) required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience managing high-acuity Labor and Delivery patients including preeclampsia with severe features and placental abnormalities
• Familiarity with induction procedures and cervical ripening methods
• Comfort with floating within specialty scope without restrictions
