Details 20-bed medical-surgical unit caring for adult and pediatric patients Typical staffing ratios of 4:1 (max 5:1) for non-COVID patients and 2:1 (max 3:1) for COVID patients 12-hour night shifts on an alternating schedule of 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next Up to one on-call shift per week may be required Must be flexible to work days, weekends, and holidays as needed May float to other qualified departments for patient care or task-based support such as answering call lights and phones May be assigned to help cover Flu Immunization clinics as needed Requirements Active AZ or compact RN license required BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required Minimum 3 years of med-surg experience required Minimum 1 year of pediatric experience required Must be comfortable caring for both adult and pediatric patients Additional Information Provide direct patient care on a med-surg unit serving adult geriatric and pediatric patients Attend staff meetings as required Maximum of two shift call-offs allowed RTO requests for Thanksgiving and Christmas will not be approved Orientation is held on Mondays only; missing the compliance deadline results in placement in the next scheduled orientation American Traveler Job ID P-742823.
