MedSurg/ER Registered Nurse
This full-time MedSurg/ER registered nurse will provide patient-centered care in a rural hospital setting in McCook, NE, supporting both medical-surgical and emergency departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in MedSurg and ER settings
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to established standards
- Administer medications, monitor patient responses, and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in Nebraska (or compact state eligibility)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification within 6 months of hire
- TNCC certification within 6 months of hire
- Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ASN or BSN)
Preferred Skills:
- Prior MedSurg and/or ER experience
