Job Summary:
The position is for an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurse in Hastings, Nebraska. The role involves providing critical care to patients with various diagnoses, including COVID, sepsis, and cardiac conditions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This position is active from June 22, 2026.

Job Details:

• Location: Hastings, Nebraska

• Minimum Hours Per Week: 36.0
• Required Qualifications: Current license to submit; Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS); Minimum of 1 year of experience working with vents, art lines, PICC lines, ports, chest tubes, drains, wounds, ostomies, OG, NG tubes, PPE, and ability to identify arrhythmias; experience with cardioversions, transesophageal echocardiography (TEEs), post heart catheterization care, defibrillators, and pain management.
• Experience: At least 1 year with vents and related critical care skills.
• Schedule: 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a minimum of 36 hours weekly.
• Additional Information: Staff may work every third holiday, including winter holidays. The unit occasionally requires floating to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Medical-Surgical units, with a patient ratio of 1:5-6 when floating.
• Equipment & Tools: Ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, Philips tele monitors.
• Staffing: Certified nursing assistants available, ICU nurse staffing includes at least 2 ICU RNs per shift, with hospitalist in house 24/7 and intensivist during the day. RTs are available 24/7 but are not in ICU, with vents and other respiratory equipment on-site.
• Charting System: EPIC
• Floating: May float to PCU and MedSurg units.
• Dress Code: Any solid color scrubs, no designs, with natural hair color.
• Orientation: 2 days of department-specific nursing orientation and 1 shift on the floor.
