ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Yelm, WA. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to support middle school students in a Learning Resource Center (LRC) setting while working alongside a collaborative educational team focused on student growth and success.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
37.5 Hours per Week
Contract Dates: September 9, 2026 – June 16, 2027
Middle School
Grades 6–8
Qualifications:
Active Washington State Special Education License or Certification required, or willingness to obtain
Must be fingerprinted through OSPI or willing to complete fingerprinting
Previous school-based special education experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Washington State standards
Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on student needs
Support students within the Learning Resource Center setting
Collaborate with general education teachers, families, related service providers, and administrators
Implement appropriate academic and behavioral interventions
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Create a structured, positive, and inclusive learning environment
