Summary

The estimator will be responsible for estimating commercial and institutional construction projects in a timely manner with the ability to fully read specifications and drawings, legends, and equipment schedules, following different document iterations (schematic, construction, and permit sets). We are searching for an estimating professional that is self-motivated, extremely well organized and accurate; excels in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment and is capable of working in a team environment as well as taking on smaller projects individually with supervision. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator with an ability to prioritize and multitask.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Able to read and understand Architectural, Civil, Structural drawings

• Able to generate quantity surveys/take-offs using On-Screen Takeoff.

• Estimate materials and labor, and budget for commercial and institutional projects.

• Form strong working relationships with subcontractors, estimators, architects, and owners.

• Commit to deadlines and deliver accurate estimates in a timely fashion.

• Assist the Project Management Team by managing and responding to RFIs and submittals during the construction cycle.

• Attend on-site pre-bid walk-thru's and job meetings as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experienced with Procore, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, On-Screen, Timberline, Bluebeam, other estimatiting softwares

• Proficiency in takeoff software a plus

• High degree of organization and accuracy

• Effective oral and written communication skills

• Strong time management skills'
