Residential Remodeling Estimator Are you a detail-driven professional with a knack for numbers and a passion for creating beautiful homes? Blackdog Builders, a leading name in residential remodeling, is seeking a Residential Remodeling Estimator to join our dynamic team. What does a Remodeling Estimator do at Blackdog? The Remodeling Estimator plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely project estimates. Reporting to the Production Manager , this role is responsible for:

• Developing detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, and subcontractor costs based on project specifications and site conditions.
• Preparing and managing contract documentation to align with project requirements.
• Analyzing blueprints, proposals, and specifications to ensure all elements are considered in the estimate.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary measurements and data.
• Continuously updating the estimating cost catalog to reflect current materials, labor rates, and industry trends.
• Maintains familiarity with local building codes and regulations
• Collaborating with internal teams (design, production, and sales) and external partners (vendors, subcontractors, and clients) from project inception to completion.

This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives on precision, organization, and teamwork in a fast-paced remodeling environment. The Qualifications we are looking for in our Remodeling Estimator are:

• Experience Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in remodeling projects specifically Kitchens, Baths, and Additions.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs from frame to finish.
• Familiarity with estimating software such as JobTread, BuilderTrend, Procore, or Co-Construct.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations
• Familiarity with CADD software is a plus.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges

What We Offer:

• Competitive Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000/year (based on experience)
