The primary purpose of your job position is to perform the day-to-day activities of the Laundry Department both in the main department and in each community household. This position is also responsible for being an active member of an assigned household. All work must be done in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility, and as may be directed by the Executive Director/Director of Environmental Services, to ensure our facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, and an adequate supply of linen is on hand at all times to meet the needs of the residents.

Eliza Jennings Health Campus is currently looking for someone to fill a full time second shift Laundry aide role.

Duties & Responsibilities 

1. Completes day-to-day laundry/cleaning functions and

properly stores equipment by the end of shift.

2. Manages supplies and supply area to ensure necessary

equipment is available and supply area is neat and clean.

3. Informs supervisor of any necessary information, such as

missing or found articles of clothing.

4. Ensures assigned work area is maintained in a clean, safe,

comfortable and attractive manner.

5. Coordinates daily laundry services with nursing services and

other household members, involving elders as much as

possible and assists in the performance of normal daily

household routines with the elders that reside there.

6. Answer call lights promptly.

7. Attends and participates in scheduled training and

educational classes required for position.

Miscellaneous

8. Ensures a safe environment for residents and utilizes tools

and equipment in a safe manner.

9. Reports all hazardous conditions including incidents, injuries

and equipment to the appropriate supervisor immediately.

10. Adheres to high standards of cleanliness, grooming, hygiene

and dress code.

11. Adheres to all policies of company, including job

description, mission statement, HIPAA and resident rights.

12. Adapts to changes in responsibilities in a positive manner, is

receptive to new ways of completing tasks, and is flexible in

carrying out assignments.

13. Communicates and interacts professionally and effectively

with residents and coworkers throughout the community

ensuring a cooperative environment while maintaining self-

control.

14. Communicates and interacts professionally and respectfully

with family members in attending to and meeting their

requests.
