Travel RN – Cardiac Med / Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for cardiac and medical-surgical patients across all age groups
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
• Demonstrate experience and competence in drug titration as required for cardiac telemetry patients
• Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
• Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and regulations
• Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license meeting eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri, or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient Cardiac Telemetry experience
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• 4 trauma credits required (must be completed within the first two weeks of assignment if not already obtained)
• NIHSS certification (may be submitted without, but must be obtained prior to start date)
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR and experience with Alaris pumps and telemetry equipment
• Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced cardiac environment
