HR Operations Specialist

Location: Kalamazoo, MI (Hybrid – 1–2 days onsite) We are seeking a Contract HR Operations Specialist to support our Shared Services team by administering employee leave programs. In this role, you'll provide guidance to employees and managers, ensure compliance with leave policies, and deliver a seamless employee experience. Responsibilities Administer national parental and employee leave programs. Serve as the primary contact for leave-related questions, eligibility, and policy guidance. Review, process, and manage leave cases from start to resolution, escalating complex issues as needed. Ensure timely processing of leave documentation and employee payments. Communicate leave requirements and updates with employees, managers, and HR stakeholders. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations. Partner with HR teams and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to support consistent processes and communication. Contribute to a collaborative, customer-focused HR Operations team. Qualifications Experience administering Leave of Absence (LOA) programs. Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Background in HR Operations, Shared Services, HR COEs, or business-facing HR. Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and related leave regulations. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle confidential employee matters. #J-18808-Ljbffr
