Sr Machinist
Globus Medical
Senior Machinist role at a medical device manufacturer focused on musculoskeletal solutions. Responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision-machined parts from blueprints while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to produce machined parts to specification
- Verify finished work against specifications using measurement tools like CMMs and micrometers
- Review blueprints and process documents to ensure dimensional conformance and identify discrepancies
- Maintain work area organization and report maintenance issues; provide training to team members
- Collaborate with engineers and quality personnel to resolve complex machining problems
Requirements
- Read, understand, and interpret blueprints with GD&T
- Calculate and set CNC machine controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and cut parameters
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Set up complex CNC machines and modify processes as needed
- Minimum 2-4 years related machining experience
- High school diploma or GED
