Position Overview
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, ensuring timely vendor payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end accounting activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a dynamic environment where accuracy and teamwork are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
- Review and verify invoices for compliance with company policies and procedures
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies by partnering with vendors and internal teams
- Prepare and process electronic payments, ACH transactions, and check runs
- Monitor and maintain vendor accounts to ensure timely and accurate payments
- Reconcile accounts payable records and assist with month-end close activities
- Maintain vendor information, payment terms, tax documentation, and account records
- Partner with project managers and operations teams to track job costs and vendor activity
- Support continuous improvement efforts within the accounts payable function
- Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as needed
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Accounts Payable experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills
- Customer-service mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based with occasional visits to project sites as needed. Candidates should be comfortable interacting with operational teams and working in a dynamic environment supporting multiple projects.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range: $23.37 $31.00 per hour
