Accounts Payable Specialist

At RK Industries, our Accounts Payable team plays an important role in keeping our business running smoothly. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll support daily accounting operations by processing vendor invoices, reviewing expense reports, reconciling statements, and ensuring payments are accurate and timely.

As a second-generation, family-owned enterprise, RK brings together seven specialized lines of business across construction, manufacturing, advanced fabrication, and building services. Our integrated approach creates opportunities to collaborate, learn, and contribute to a growing organization.

What You'll Do

• Enter and post vendor invoices, prepare checks, and review unapproved invoices daily to support timely processing and payment
• Match invoices to purchase orders, verify coding and approvals, and partner with Purchasing and Project Managers to resolve discrepancies
• Process employee expense claims using third-party expense management software and reconcile vendor statements
• Calculate applicable Colorado sales and use taxes on supplier and vendor invoices while developing knowledge of construction-related tax requirements
• Monitor the Accounts Payable inbox, route invoices for processing, and respond promptly and professionally to vendor and employee inquiries
• Maintain positive relationships with vendor and supplier accounting teams while ensuring accurate records and protecting confidential information
• Support the full Accounts Payable cycle and assist with additional accounting duties as needed

What You Bring

• 25 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable and subcontract entry
• Preferred experience in multiple ERPs such as Visa, IFS and Great Plains
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to review invoice coding, approvals, purchase orders, and expense documentation for accuracy
