Field Service Technician III (Deployable)

As a Field Service Technician III, you will perform maintenance and technical support on our products such as equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software at customer and/or field locations. You’ll be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products and updating and tracking the status of all field‑related equipment. You will build and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide them with onsite training. Responsibilities Provide technical support to SNC customers, giving quick problem assessment and corrections for field units. Document all customer interactions and implement or support hardware, software, or training changes according to approved SNC instructions. Maintain punctuality for work each day and be prepared to work scheduled hours. Travel worldwide with relatively short notice to service locations. Perform assigned maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. Follow guidance of shift lead supervisor for daily taskings, expectations, and priorities. Travel frequently outside the continental United States for extended periods, requiring a current, valid passport, visa, and pre‑deployment medical assessment. Meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations and be able to deploy for an extended period to various OCONUS operating locations. Be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules as required. Understand that this position may require deployment for a period of up to 90 days, depending on mission needs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent, and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience. A higher‑level degree may substitute for experience. Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and publications. Progressive experience using troubleshooting techniques. Thorough understanding of electrical wiring concepts. Ability to travel frequently outside the continental U.S., with a current, valid passport and ability to obtain a visa. Successfully pass a pre‑deployment medical assessment. Meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations. Willing to work extended hours, holidays, and shift schedules. Must be willing and able to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations. Must be willing to deploy for a period of up to 90 days; deployment is not guaranteed. A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Preferred Qualifications Associate’s degree in a related field of study. Experience with FCC or FCC GROL. Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA, and/or A+ certifications. Basic understanding of spectrometer, oscilloscope, and/or pilot static equipment gauges. Experience with computer basics, networking, and overall IT concepts.
