Speech Language Pathologist

The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients with speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders to improve their communication and functional independence. Based in Ennis, TX, this permanent full?time role supports a collaborative healthcare team and serves the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients for speech, language, communication, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments
• Provide speech, language, cognitive, communication, and dysphagia therapy
• Perform swallowing evaluations and recommend treatment strategies
• Monitor progress and adjust plans as needed
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and case management
• Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and patient conferences
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
• Assist patients in achieving the highest possible level of communication and functional independence

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Speech?Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current or eligible Texas Speech?Language Pathologist license
• Strong communication, assessment, documentation, and patient?care skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• New graduates may be considered depending on facility requirements

Preferred Skills:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech?Language Pathology (CCC?SLP)
• BLS/CPR certification
