Locums OB/GYN Colorado Springs, CO (CO or IMLC) Why This Role

Assignment Details
• Dates: January-April 2027
• Schedule: Mon-Thurs 5p-7a night call + weekend coverage Fri 5p-Mon 7a
• Commitment: 3 full weeks + 3 weekends/month
• Coverage type: Primary offsite pager call
• Volume: 60 deliveries/month
• Setting: Inpatient; Level III Trauma Center and NICU
• Support: Fully staffed L&D, OB ED, in-house anesthesia, onsite lab and ultrasound
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing: 90-120 days
Clinical Details
• Primary OB/GYN call coverage
• Antepartum evaluation and admissions
• Labor and delivery management
• Low- and high-risk obstetrics
• Routine and complicated deliveries, including C-sections, breech, multiples, VBACs, and 3rd/4th-degree laceration repair
• Fetal heart rate interpretation
• GYN ED consults and emergent gynecologic surgery
• Open gynecologic surgery including ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, and extensive lysis of adhesions
• Suction D&C
• Management of cesarean complications, including hysterectomy
• Daily rounding and backup coverage to OB hospitalist group
Requirements
• BC in OB/GYN required
• OB/GYN residency required
• License: active CO or IMLC with LOQ in hand
• Must be comfortable with full required OB, L&D, and GYN procedural scope
• ACLS, BLS, and NRP highly preferred
• Active DEA required for credentialing
• Must commit to full coverage stints
