For those still in college, the program facilitates the transition from college to a full-time career at Key. The program provides opportunities to learn about Key's business and strategic pillars, learn about Key's industry-leading employee benefits, engage in exciting networking events with Analysts across various teams, hear from members of the Executive Leadership Team, and receive relevant training ahead of starting in a full-time role. At the conclusion of the multi-week training program, Analysts will enter their Line of Business and begin working with their respective teams within a rotational program within a specific segment or full-time role. Continued development beyond the program is provided through mentorship opportunities with teammates across various levels of the organization that will provide an environment for shared learning and advice, encourage professional development, and assist in the development of career aspirations and goals. About the Job The Rotational Analyst will be actively engaging with the Enterprise Marketing Analytics team, gaining hands‑on experience by working on various projects across diverse marketing channels. This rotation aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the different facets of marketing analytics, allowing the analyst to develop a well‑rounded skill set and valuable insights from each channel. Under direct supervision, the rotational analyst is primarily responsible for supporting the formulation of hypotheses, translation of data, design/measurement of experiments and generation of insights to inform business decisions by using various data mining techniques. The rotational analyst uses data to perform basic diagnostic analyses and assists the team's diagnostic projects to provide answers to questions such as "Why did it happen?" and "What action can I take?". Through the use of reporting and execution of ad hoc requests by pulling data and creating basic analysis and the inspection and control of testing procedures, the rotational Analytics Associate identifies trends and outliers. Success criteria include: timely and effective handling of data or analytics requests assigned by manager; providing input into basic business or analytical challenges faced by the team; building functional knowledge in analytical programming languages, data literacy, developing communication skills, business acumen, and critical thinking; and establishing relationships with peers and broader team. Essential Job Functions Conduct data query and analysis on large data sets with manager and team support Identify common data errors and their impact Provide reoccurring reporting and ad hoc requests Employ basic best practices for evaluating large data Answer key business questions through exploration and discovery Create simple analysis to support the production of insights into relevant business questions under general direction / supervision Find patterns or anomalies by building out visualizations and PowerPoint presentations Execute basic diagnostics testing under supervision (e.g. performance testing, assumption verification and impacts of limitations) Tests, under supervision, suitability / sufficiency for approach (e.g. representativeness) Provide input with addressing basic business/analytical problems and challenges Required Qualifications Must obtain a four‑year degree or graduate level degree by May 2026 in statistics, mathematics, economics, financial engineering, data sciences, business analytics or other quantitative disciplines. Data Literacy Understanding of: Data wrangling including information documentation and importing data from different formats Descriptive statistics, random variables, common distributions, outliers Ability to consume, query, explore, and evaluate big data; can leverage this skill to inform business questions Technology & Techniques Advanced Microsoft Office Suite Navigation, shortcuts, use and share spreadsheet documents Python//SAS/SQL Perform IDE walk-through; shortcuts Connect to databases Use functions such as classes, variables, lists, and classes Program files, modules, and libraries Model Building & Maintenance Familiar with concepts and usage of Data Leakage, Training, Testing, and Validation Sets for model building Able to perform basic diagnostics testing Understanding of: Foundational statistical / measurement concepts, methods, and techniques Basic uses, scope, features, benefits, and risks of available modeling methods) Expected Competencies Leadership: Works under general direction / supervision; may work independently, but often needs ongoing guidance and support Partnering / Influencing: Limited business partner interaction – work typically assigned by manager; Developing relationship building ability and interpersonal skills; Engage and interact mostly with immediate team and peers; Developing influencing skills Business Acumen: Developing basic understanding of business partner strategy; Building financial acumen Critical Thinking / Problem Solving: Developing critical thinking skills; Can analyze simple issues with low complexity; Can give perspective to the team addressing basic business/analytical problems and challenges; Recognizes need to elevate issues in a timely manner Communication: Basic writing skills; beginning to develop ability to organize information in clear, consistent format; Typically needs assistance with articulating a clear, well‑thought out message and formal delivery; Minimal skills in creating PowerPoint presentations; limited formal delivery Compensation and Benefits This position is eligible to earn a salary of $65,000. Compensation also includes a $5,000 Sign‑on Bonus. KeyBank's Internship and Analyst positions are not eligible for employment visa sponsorship (e.g., H-1B visa).
