Associate General Counsel - Litigation

Associate General Counsel - Litigation Location: This role requires associates to be in office 3 days per week, with flexibility for remote work. Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance of an office. The Associate General Counsel - Litigation is primarily responsible for managing a large litigation caseload, working closely with outside litigation counsel and internal business staff and leaders. In addition, this role provides legal advice and recommendations for initiatives and projects developed in response to clients’ overall objectives, acting as a strategic partner and decision maker with senior leaders. How you will make an impact Applies knowledge of one or more legal specialties with sound business acumen and understanding of business goals and objectives as they relate to the legal matter. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments, and may coordinate legal projects. Contributes to overall results of an SBU or CEE unit and/or department. Uses professional legal concepts and principles to contribute to the development of company concepts and principles. Provides instructions to junior members of the department and concise, timely briefings to senior level business and legal management. Routinely works on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of various factors. Serves as a resource for other attorneys, paralegals, and business clients, providing instruction and advice on technical and tactical issues. Assesses and mitigates risk and reports identified business exposure and associated risks to management. Manages litigation case load. Minimum Requirements JD, current license to practice law, and a minimum of 9 years of specific industry and/or technical legal experience post-licensure, or an equivalent background. Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences Healthcare experience preferred. Experience managing and owning case load preferred. Experience managing outside counsel strongly preferred. Salary range: $181,524 to $298,218. Locations: Woodland Hills, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Denver, CO.
