Facility Monitor

Position Details Temporary, variable hour position in the Parks, Arts & Recreation Division. Focus is overseeing facilities rented for events and coordinating event requirements related to the facility and rental agreement. Requires a great deal of customer service both before and during the event. Shift Schedule Monday-Thursday 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm Saturday 11:00 am – 11:00 pm Sunday 8:00 am – 11:00 pm Primary Duties Ensure facility is prepared for the event in accordance with the rental agreement. Meet with the renter prior to the event to agree on expectations. Report any issues to the appropriate Parks, Arts & Recreation staff member in a timely manner. Coordinate with the renter/designee throughout the event to ensure necessary requirements are completed; correct issues as they are identified. Open, close, and secure facility; upon departure, ensure facility is left in an appropriate state of cleanliness and repair. Perform custodial duties to ensure facility cleanliness. Maintain and account for equipment. Enforce department rules, regulations, and policies. Work schedule will be evenings and weekends. Represent the department effectively with the public and program participants. Follow written and verbal instructions. Attend training sessions required by the department. May be required to perform First Aid and CPR. Show regular, reliable, and punctual attendance. Work effectively under pressure and with frequent interruptions. Complete work and projects in a thorough and timely manner. Understand and follow directions from supervisor, posted work rules, and procedures. Work courteously and effectively with the public, public officials, citizens, vendors, supervisors, and other employees, both in person and over the telephone, assisting them with a wide variety of information. Show initiative in performing job functions. Perform other work‑related tasks as required. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 21 years of age. Able to work days, evenings, and weekends. Must pass a background check. First Aid and CPR certification may be required.
