Locums Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Seeking experienced Emergency Medicine APPs (PA or NP) for a locums opportunity in Frankfort, KY. Join a high-functioning ED team in a community hospital setting with strong physician support and steady patient volume.

Position Details:


• Estimated Annual Volume: ~30,000-40,000 patients/year


• Patients Per Hour: ~1.8-2.2


• Shift Lengths: 10-12 hour shifts (days, evenings, nights available)


• Schedule: Flexible locums coverage (weekday/weekend options)


• EMR: Meditech (typical for similar sites)

Clinical Responsibilities:


• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of varying acuity


• Perform procedures within scope (laceration repair, splinting, I&D, etc.)


• Collaborate with board-certified EM physicians


• Coverage may include fast track and main ED

Requirements:


• Board Certified/Eligible PA or NP (EM experience required)


• Active KY license (or ability to obtain)


• ACLS, PALS required


• ATLS preferred


• Minimum 1-2 years Emergency Medicine experience preferred
