Associate Attorney

Kirkland Hochstetler PLLC is a boutique trusts-and-estates law firm based in Naples, Florida, serving high-net-worth individuals and families across multiple jurisdictions. We provide sophisticated, tailored estate planning, tax planning, and wealth transfer counsel, and we are seeking an associate attorney to support our growing practice. About the Role We are looking for an associate with 2–5 years of experience . This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional matters in a close-knit, high-end boutique environment where quality of work and client relationships take priority over volume. Responsibilities Draft wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and related estate-planning documents Assist with the design and implementation of sophisticated wealth-transfer strategies, including gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax planning Assist with trust and estate administrations and fiduciary representation Conduct legal research and analysis on tax- and estate-planning issues Prepare correspondence, memoranda, and client-facing materials Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school; active member of The Florida Bar (or eligible for admission) 2–5 years of experience in trusts and estates, estate planning, or tax law LL.M. in Taxation or Estate Planning strongly preferred ; candidates without an LL.M. who performed well in estate planning and tax coursework during their JD will also be considered Strong technical knowledge of federal estate, gift, and income tax rules as they relate to trusts and estates Excellent drafting, research, and analytical skills High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive and confidential client matters Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working directly with clients and their advisors What We Offer Direct mentorship and close collaboration with experienced trusts-and-estates practitioners Exposure to sophisticated, multi-jurisdictional planning and administration mattersCompetitive compensation commensurate with experience Kirkland Hochstetler PLLC is an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr Kirkland Hochstetler PLLC
