Lead Testing Services Proctor/ Test Adminstrator

Overview Lead Proctors administer academic and placement testing, pre‑employment and skills assessments, as well as certification exams to qualified candidates. They exhibit thorough knowledge of testing center policies, procedures, materials, and assessments offered, assist the manager with training and scheduling, and perform duties related to assessment and certification as assigned. Must have the ability and willingness to travel to all Lake County campus locations (East Chicago, Gary, Crown Point) and external agencies as directed by the manager. Responsibilities Handle off‑site testing administration. Coordinate testing administration during daytime and evening sessions. Collaborate with career development programs to provide testing certification and credentialing for community agencies in Lake County, IN. Manage testing administration at Lake County campus locations. Perform testing center updates and proctor virtual requests as needed. Conduct systems checks for proctor stations and third‑party vendor platforms. Provide certification, assessment, and distance education exam administration per designated proctor policies and procedures. Assist with occasional off‑site testing events. Complete all required high‑stakes exam proctor training and stay current with exam protocol changes. Support the manager in training testing center staff. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including contacting testing company technical support when problems arise. Maintain accurate records of all assessment services and report to relevant college offices in a timely manner. Adjust testing procedures for individuals with documentation from the Special Needs Counselor prior to sessions. Organize and schedule center activities. Respond to customer questions and concerns. Maintain knowledge of testing center exams, materials, activities, policies, and procedures. Keep the assessment and certification center clean, organized, and fully stocked. Participate in major campus events such as the commencement ceremony. Qualifications Associate's degree or ½ year of relevant work experience. 21 years of age or older. Travel may be required at times. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. 1‑2 years of excellent communication and customer service experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software. Demonstrated ability to promote an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds. Compensation $15‑$17 per hour.
