Functional Title: Audiologist Agency: Health & Human Services Comm Department: Audiology Posting Number: 17936 Closing Date: 09/12/2026 Occupational Category: Healthcare Support Salary Range: $7,892.49 - $9,508.25 per month Shift: Day Telework: Not Eligible Travel: Up to 5% Full Time: Yes Exempt: Yes Key Responsibilities Attend work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and perform other duties as assigned. Perform and interpret assessments and render therapeutic treatment to consumers. Evaluate and fabricate ear molds, assess hearing aids, and collaborate with otolaryngologists. Participate in quality assurance and quality enhancement activities as required. Work under minimal supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Administer and interpret assessments, develop and provide treatment for persons served. Train staff and monitor programs for compliance and efficacy. Participate in IDT/ISP meetings to facilitate diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain open and regular communication with other departments, IDTs and administration to ensure transfer of needed information and continuity of services. Document services in IRIS. Supervise the work of others and oversee or participate in student internship programs. Engage in supporting roles for disaster response, recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation as required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of principles of clinical therapeutic evaluation and treatment and their application to individuals with IDD. Ability to prescribe and construct adaptive or augmentative/communication devices. Ability to impart general and specific information about habilitation therapy (HT), IDD, anatomy, physiology, and treatment techniques to persons with varying levels of experience. Ability to follow instructions and base decisions on current policies and best practice. Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal forms. Ability to produce reports, progress notes and assessments utilizing computer technology. Ability to work well with staff, foster the team process, and assume a leadership role as indicated. Required Licenses and Certifications Current licensure in audiology. Educational and Experience Requirements Graduation from an accredited college or university program with major coursework in audiology. Experience in IDD is preferred; experience and education may be substituted for one another. Additional Requirements Applicants must pass fingerprint criminal background check, pre‑employment drug screen, and registry checks (including CANRS, Nurse Aide, Medication Aide, Employee Misconduct and HHS List of Excluded Individuals/Entities). Males aged 18–25 must be registered with Selective Service. All State Supported Living Center employees are subject to random drug testing. Flexibility in work hours may be required; the position may require overtime, extended hours, weekends and holidays.
