Registered Respiratory Therapist - RRT

Registered Respiratory Therapist, RRT in Fort Wayne, Indiana Currently looking for qualified Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRT) to fill full-time,13-week contract openings in the Fort Wayne Area. Interested candidates must have 5 years of previous experience as a RRT in an adult ICU setting. Evening/Night shift contract is available, with a pay rate of $51 per hour. As an RRT, you will:

• Provide respiratory care to Adults, Pediatric, or Neonatal patients depending on the unit setting
• Monitor and assess patient respiratory status and adjust treatments accordingly
• Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient progress and treatment accurately and timely
• Educate families on respiratory care and equipment usage
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety protocols

A few must-haves for RRTs

• Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensed with in the state of Indiana
• 5 years experience preferred as a Credentialed Respiratory Care Practitioner; has acquired adult intubation skill.
• Required Certifications: BLS, RRT, ACLS, NRP (American Heart Association for BLS, ACLS)
• Must be able to work independently, yet together as part of a team
• Must be able to remain calm under pressure
• Proficient in Airway management, Medication administration, Vent management, ABGs, 02 Therapy, Suction, Pulmonary toileting, Nebulizer, BiPAP, CPAP
• Active BLS, physical, TB test, and other medical compliance as required by facility
