Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our department. The role involves preparing and maintaining exam rooms, preparing charts, obtaining reports and records, assisting with patient flow, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinical office.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with patients in a clinic setting and complete clinical tasks such as obtaining vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and verifying medications.
• Prepare for office hours by obtaining charts, scheduling tests, and preparing exam rooms.

Essential Skills

• Medical assisting
• RMA (AMT) or CCMA (NHA) certifications REQUIRED
• Basic Life Support (BLS) REQUIRED
• Proficiency in using Epic and electronic medical records
• Strong interactive communication skills for working with physicians, patients, families, and support staff
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and telephone skills
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from either 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The role is in a primary care setting with eight providers, and cross-training is provided for both front and back office tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
