What You'll Do

• Provide specialized nursing care to high-risk obstetric patients.
• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using advanced assessment tools and protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams during labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
• Administer medications and interventions per hospital policies.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in Epic electronic health records.
• Support patient education and family engagement throughout labor and delivery processes.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and provide critical care when necessary.

What You Need

Required:

• Valid RN license in Louisiana or an equivalent state.
• At least 2 years of experience in high-risk labor and delivery nursing.
• Epic EMR experience.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate & FHM.
• Experience in a teaching hospital setting and with 200-300 births/month preferred.

Preferred:

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work night shifts consistently.
