Details Hospital-based Computed Tomography department Performs a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes Variable 12-hour shifts 36 hours per week, 3 days per week Uses Epic for charting Requirements Associate degree required Current BLS certification (AHA) required ARRT (R) certification required Licensure in state of practice required if applicable Minimum of 1 year CT experience in a hospital setting required Proficiency in operating CT equipment with strong understanding of CT imaging techniques and protocols Knowledge of contrast administration protocols and contrast injector operation Proficiency with electronic imaging including viewing, transferring, and manipulating images Ability to recognize and respond to emergent patient situations Ability to function independently and as part of a team Strong communication and task prioritization skills DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration Additional Information Responsible for patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation Performs exams per department protocol and reviews images for quality, clarity, and accuracy Administers contrast media as ordered under radiologist or physician supervision and educates patients on contrast safety Adheres to radiation safety guidelines and infection control practices Maintains accurate records of patient information, procedures, and any adverse reactions Coordinates patient care and communicates with other providers following procedures Participates in continuing education and may assist or instruct students and other technologists Returning employees must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-746857.
