Position Overview

The Dental Billing & Collections Coordinator plays a key role in patient communication, financial management, and administrative flow. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with patients while ensuring accurate billing and efficient office systems.

Responsibilities:

Billing & Collections

• Manage claims creation, submission, and follow-ups
• Handle patient billing, account audits, and payment collection
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances
• Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues
• Maintain compliance with dental coding and billing standards

Front Desk / Administrative

• Greet and check in/out patients with professionalism and warmth
• Answer phones and assist patients with questions about treatment and insurance
• Maintain organized records and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Support daily administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Dental front office or billing experience required (minimum 1–2 years preferred)
• Knowledge of dental insurance plans, ADA codes, and claims processing
• Experience with Dentrix
• Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude, dependability, and professionalism
