Vernis & Bowling's Islamorada, Florida Keys office is seeking paralegals to join our team. We are a fast-paced civil litigation defense firm. Ideal candidates will have . *Job Duties* (include but are not limited to): Summarizes records and court files Schedule couriers, court reporters, expert witnesses & other special functions Research sources such as statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, and public records Drafts, prepares and performs limited reviews of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, discovery materials, appeals and contracts Assists in trial preparation and discovery practices such as gathering and organizing exhibits, trial data, documents, and other materials in response to subpoenas, discovery requests, interrogatories, motions for summary judgments, etc. Serves as a limited liaison between counsel, clients, experts, witnesses, third parties, and other outside contacts Maintain attorney’s calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, and depositions *Requirements:* Minimum 1 year's prior experience with General Liability or Government Litigation Proven administrative/clerical/organizational abilities Proficient in Office 2007 (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), as well as Outlook and Adobe Acrobat Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Work Location: Hybrid remote in Islamorada, FL 33036 #J-18808-Ljbffr Socket.dev
