Logistics Coordinator

Position Overview Logistics Coordinator / Forklift Operator – LaVergne, TN Shift: 1st Shift (Monday – Friday), 8 AM – 4 PM. Position type: Full-Time. Salary: $47,000 – $47,840 per year. Education: High School required. Responsibilities Schedule and monitor daily inbound and outbound shipments (Small Parcel, LTL, and FTL) using Transportation Management Systems (TMS). Serve as the primary liaison for freight carriers and local couriers, managing pick‑up windows and resolving transit delays. Secure competitive freight quotes and optimize shipping routes to reduce total landed costs. Safely operate sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts to pull and move high‑priority orders. Reconcile physical counts of incoming raw packaging materials against purchase orders in the Warehouse Management System (WMS). Collaborate with kitting and assembly departments to prioritize outbound shipments based on carrier cutoff times. Generate and audit all shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOL), packing lists, and international commercial invoices. Maintain meticulous digital and physical records of receiving manifests to ensure inventory accuracy. Verify that outbound packaging meets carrier safety requirements and client‑specific kitting standards. Manage the claims process for short‑shipped or damaged materials, coordinating with vendors and insurance providers. Qualifications Proven experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Shipping Specialist, or similar role. Demonstrated proficiency operating sit‑down and stand‑up forklifts. Experience utilizing TMS and WMS platforms for routing and inventory control. Strong knowledge of logistics documentation (BOL, international commercial invoices). Excellent communication skills to coordinate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments. Ability to work efficiently on 1st shift in a fast‑paced environment. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. High School diploma or equivalent required. Benefits & Compensation Pay is based on experience, education, and location.
