What You’ll Do Project Support & Analysis: Assist with drainage analysis and the preparation of construction plans and drainage reports. Develop project quantities and prepare submittal documents to support project needs. Conduct field investigations of drainage systems and flooding complaints. Coordinate with various permitting agencies for stormwater management. Cross‑Disciplinary Coordination: Coordinate and gain a comprehensive understanding of various design components including roadway, traffic control, structures, signing and pavement marking, signalization, lighting, and utility work. Attend technical meetings and project field reviews to gain real‑world insights into the engineering process. Collaborate with a cohesive team of professionals, including sub‑consultants, to ensure project success. Diverse Project Exposure: Work on projects ranging from major roadway reconstruction and milling/resurfacing to minor design projects such as sidewalks and trails. Education & Professional Credentials: B.S. in Civil Engineering with 0‑5 years of experience. Engineer In Training (EIT) Certification is required. FDOT experience preferred. Proactive and driven, with a commitment to quality. A collaborative team player and effective communicator. Adaptable, flexible, and skilled at prioritizing tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Strong technical writing, computer, organization, and planning skills. Technical Proficiency: Experience and familiarity with Open Roads Designer (ORD) or AutoCAD Civil 3D CADD software. ORD is the primary software used. 3D modeling experience is a plus. Experience with ICPR /Stormwise or equivalent hydraulic software. Why Join Bayer United?
