Engineer II - Land Development (EIT)

Job Description:Pape-Dawson’s San Antonio headquarters has been at the heart of the company since its founding in 1965. From major transportation improvements to essential water, wastewater, and drainage systems, the San Antonio team helps build the places and infrastructure that keep the region growing.Our Land Development team in San Antonio, TX is looking for an EIT II that will contribute to the planning, analysis, design, and delivery of engineering projects within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. This role applies established engineering principles and practices to a variety of projects under the guidance of a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) while gaining increasing responsibility, technical proficiency, and independence.ResponsibilitiesSupport the design and preparation of civil site development plans for residential projects including grading, drainage, paving, and utility systems.Perform site layout, earthwork calculations, and stormwater management analyses.Assist with preparation of reports, exhibits, and technical documentation for zoning, entitlement, and permitting approvals.Coordinate with regulatory agencies to support permitting and compliance with local, state, and federal requirementsAssist in the planning, analysis, and design of engineering projects in accordance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and project requirements.Prepare engineering calculations, technical documentation, and design deliverables under the guidance of senior engineers.Utilize engineering software, drafting tools, and standard office applications to support assigned tasks.Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.Communicate technical information clearly and effectively through written documents, drawings, and verbal coordination.Manage assigned tasks to meet established schedules and quality expectations.Participate in internal meetings and coordination efforts related to assigned projects.Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and professional standards.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited programEngineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certificationMinimum of 1 year of relevant engineering experienceWorking knowledge of engineering design principles, practices, and applicable codes and standardsProficiency with common engineering software, drafting/design tools, and standard office applicationsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsEffective written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively within a team environmentDemonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a deadline-driven environmentAbility to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with overtime as neededIf you need an accommodation or assistance with completing your application due to a disability or special need, please contact our team at View email address on click.appcast.io or call View phone number on click.appcast.io.EEO Statement:All qualified applicants for Pape-Dawson Engineers will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran. #J-18808-Ljbffr
