Role Description The Retail Manager is a full-time, on-site role located at The UPS Store in Grand Rapids, MI. This role is responsible for overseeing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment. The Retail Manager leads and coaches team members, ensures high-quality customer service, and resolves customer issues to support positive experiences and repeat business. Responsibilities include driving sales of printing, packaging, shipping, mailbox services, and other products, monitoring store performance metrics, and implementing promotional initiatives. The Retail Manager also handles scheduling, basic HR functions, and ensures compliance with company policies, brand standards, and operational guidelines. Qualifications Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with customers, team members, and leadership. Ability to promote Customer Satisfaction through problem-solving, professional demeanor, and attention to service quality. Team Management experience, including coaching, scheduling, and performance feedback. Sales skills to drive revenue growth across printing, packaging, shipping, mailbox, and related services. Basic business and retail operations knowledge, including cash handling, inventory control, and point-of-sale systems. Prior experience in retail, hospitality, or service-oriented environments is preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business or a related field is a plus.
