Risk Mitigation Consultant, Commercial Risk - Construction Practice

The Risk Mitigation Consultant assists the Director of Risk Management with the development and implementation of risk management services and programs. He/she will assist clients assess their risk and develop a plan to minimize their exposure to loss.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides telephonic consultation regarding risk management inquiries and questionsAssist in the development and implementation of risk management projects as assignedConducts clinical risk assessmentsProduce tools and educational materials (e.g., modules, white papers, e-publications, webinars, and new best practices)Review and revise as needed current firm risk management tools and products (e.g., HUD Risk Assessment Agreement)Assist the technical team with questions regarding consultant report writingPrepare custom setup letters, document lists, and report writing templates relating to on-site and desk-based services.Assist in the reviews of provider responses to the risk assessment recommendationsConduct on-location risk assessments and desk-based servicesPerform other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:Knowledge of the healthcare environmentAbove average knowledge of appropriate software – Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, and ExcelFriendly, well organized and enjoys interacting with people.Strong planning, organizational, and follow-up skills.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner consistently.Exhibits a drive to figure things out and initiative to take on new responsibilities as needed.Ability to ensure a culture of accountability, integrity, and respect through interpersonal skills.Demonstrates the firm’s core values, exuding behavior that is aligned with corporate culture.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:A Bachelor’s degreeAt least five (5) years’ experience risk managementExperience with risk management tools/techniquesOTHER:Fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.The starting pay for this position is $160,000 annually.IMPORTANT NOTICE: This position description is intended to describe the level of work required of the person performing in the role and is not a contract.
