We're looking for a talented, creative, and technically skilled Creative Producer to join our growing production team.

About the Role

We're seeking a hands-on Creative Producer with strong professional videography, video editing, and social media content creation skills.

This is a production-heavy role , primarily focused on executing high-quality video shoots, developing creative concepts, and managing content creation for select key client accounts.

The ideal candidate is technically proficient with professional cameras, lighting, microphones, gimbals, and production equipment, while also understanding what makes content engaging on Instagram, TikTok, and other social platforms.

You'll collaborate with our brand marketing team, project managers, and editors to bring creative ideas to life.

We're looking for more than someone who can operate a camera. We want someone who takes ownership, contributes creative ideas, and produces content that stands out.

Key Responsibilities1. Professional Video Production & Shoots

Primary Responsibility

• Lead and execute professional video and photography shoots for clients across various industries.
• Conduct regular shoots throughout NYC and surrounding areas, with occasional travel to other U.S. states.
• Independently set up and operate professional cameras, lenses, lighting, microphones, gimbals, and stabilization equipment.
• Manage all technical aspects of production, including exposure, framing, composition, focus, lighting, and audio.
• Adapt equipment and filming techniques to restaurants, retail stores, offices, events, and outdoor environments.
• Direct clients, staff, and talent to capture engaging, natural, and professional footage.
• Review creative briefs and shot lists to ensure all required content is captured.
• Proactively identify additional creative opportunities during shoots.
• Troubleshoot technical issues independently.
• Prepare, maintain, organize, and properly handle company production equipment.

1. Key Client Account Content Creation
2. Take ownership of content production for a select portfolio of key client accounts.
3. Develop creative concepts and content ideas aligned with each client's brand and marketing objectives.
4. Plan shoots and produce engaging short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other platforms.
5. Edit content for assigned accounts and ensure timely delivery.
6. Collaborate with project managers and brand managers to maintain consistent creative direction.
7. Continuously introduce fresh ideas, storytelling approaches, and content formats.

1. Creative Development & Social Media Trends
2. Research emerging social media trends, creative formats, and production techniques.
3. Brainstorm original video concepts and campaign ideas.
4. Develop scripts, shot lists, storyboards, and production plans.
5. Understand short-form storytelling, hooks, pacing, and audience engagement.
6. Experiment with new filming styles, transitions, and creative techniques.
7. Proactively suggest creative opportunities that help clients stand out.

1. Video Editing & Post-Production
2. Edit high-quality short-form videos for assigned client accounts.
3. Organize, label, and upload footage promptly after shoots.
4. Ensure production assets are properly stored and accessible to the editing team.
5. Provide clear creative direction and production notes to editors.
6. Review content to ensure it meets creative and brand standards.
7. Support additional editing projects when production schedules allow.

1. Production Planning & Coordination
2. Collaborate with project managers, editors, and brand managers to prepare for shoots.
3. Review production requirements and ensure proper equipment preparation.
4. Assist with coordinating freelance videographers for out-of-state productions.
5. Prepare production briefs and filming instructions for external partners.
6. Review externally produced footage for quality and completeness.
7. Help improve production workflows, equipment management, and internal processes.

1. Internal Brand Content
2. Collaborate with the team to create content for Spark Media and affiliated brands, including SparqList.
3. Produce behind-the-scenes videos, employee features, creative campaigns, and social media content.
4. Participate in brainstorming sessions and internal marketing initiatives.
5. Experiment with creative formats and contribute ideas that help grow our internal social media presence.

Required Qualifications

Professional Video Production Expertise

Candidates must have strong hands-on experience with:

• Professional Cameras: Sony, Canon, Panasonic, Blackmagic, or equivalent mirrorless/cinema systems.
• Camera Settings: Aperture, ISO, shutter speed, frame rates, exposure, white balance, focus, and picture profiles.
• Professional Lighting: LED panels, softboxes, key lights, fill lights, lighting modifiers, and lighting techniques.
• Audio Equipment: Wireless microphones, lavalier microphones, shotgun microphones, and professional audio recording systems.
• Stabilization Equipment: Gimbals, tripods, handheld camera rigs, and other stabilization systems.
• Video Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar software.
• Production Techniques: Composition, framing, camera movement, visual storytelling, and technical troubleshooting.

Additional Requirements

• Professional videography and content production experience.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating technical production skills and creative storytelling.
• Experience creating short-form content for Instagram, TikTok, and other platforms.
• Ability to independently plan, prepare, and execute professional shoots.
• Strong understanding of social media trends and engaging content formats.
• Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills.
• Comfortable directing clients, employees, and talent during filming.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Willingness to travel locally and occasionally to other U.S. states.
• Creative, proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable receiving feedback.

• Experience at a marketing agency, creative agency, or production company.
• Experience producing restaurant, hospitality, retail, or lifestyle content.
• Photography and photo editing skills.
• Experience developing scripts, storyboards, and creative concepts.
• Experience coordinating freelance production teams.
• Understanding of social media marketing and content performance.

Equipment & Production Resources

Spark Media provides the professional production equipment needed for client shoots.

This includes cameras, lenses, lighting, microphones, gimbals, stabilization systems, and other necessary production accessories.

Candidates are not required to own their own equipment , but must have the technical knowledge and experience to independently operate professional production gear.

We encourage our Creative Producers to recommend equipment and tools that can improve production quality and efficiency.
