QA Lead

Kforce has a client that is seeking a QA Lead in Maryland Heights, MO. Key Responsibilities: Quality Engineering Leadership:
- Lead testing efforts from planning through execution and delivery
- Ensure high standards for quality, defect management, and testing outcomes
- Mentor and guide a team of Quality Engineers, fostering collaboration and professional growth
- Promote accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement across the team
- Proactively identify risks, challenges, and opportunities for process enhancement
- Communicate project status, timelines, blockers, and dependencies effectively to stakeholders
- - Develop and execute testing strategies for new functionality and application enhancements
- Collaborate closely with development teams throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Analyze defects, investigate root causes, and drive resolution efforts
- Support quality initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, coverage, and reliability
- Recommend and implement best practices across testing processes and methodologies
- Drive test automation efforts and identify opportunities to expand automation coverage
- Leverage modern technologies and emerging industry practices to improve testing effectiveness
- Continuously evaluate tools, processes, and approaches that enhance software quality and team productivity
- 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, or Software Testing
- Experience leading QA or Quality Engineering teams, including offshore resources
- Strong understanding of Quality Engineering principles and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Hands-on experience with test automation
- Experience with: Octane; SQL; Postman; Swagger; Splunk and/or Datadog
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide clear status updates, identify risks, and escalate issues appropriately
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams
- Strong backend testing experience
- Experience with Java and/or Python
- CI/CD knowledge and experience working alongside development teams
- Telecommunications industry experience
- Experience working in large enterprise environments
