Branch Manager – Senior Helpers Great companies need strong leaders. Senior Helpers is seeking a driven, hands-on Branch Manager to lead the growth and day-to-day operations of our local home care business. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong operational leadership with a business-development mindset. You will be responsible for building a high-performing team, maintaining excellent client service, developing referral relationships, improving operational performance, and driving sustainable revenue and billable-hour growth. This is not a passive management position. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, identifies problems early, follows through, develops people, and actively helps grow the business. Key Responsibilities Branch Operations & Leadership Manage the day-to-day operations of the branch and provide consistent leadership to office staff and caregivers. Maintain accountability across scheduling, recruiting, onboarding, client care, sales, and administrative functions. Identify operational problems quickly and ensure issues are followed through to resolution. Develop processes that improve efficiency, communication, client satisfaction, caregiver retention, and profitability. Ensure responsibilities are clearly assigned and that team members follow through on commitments. Coach, train, develop, and hold internal team members accountable to established expectations. Work closely with ownership on business priorities, staffing decisions, growth initiatives, and operational improvements. Growth & Business Development Take responsibility for branch revenue growth and increasing weekly billable service hours. Develop and execute strategies to generate new clients and expand existing client relationships. Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with key referral partners and centers of influence, including: Hospitals Skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities Assisted living and memory care communities Independent living communities Home health and hospice organizations Physician practices Veterans and VA-related referral sources Senior-service organizations Case managers, social workers, and discharge planners Other healthcare and community partners Conduct face-to-face visits, networking, community outreach, presentations, and events to develop referral relationships. Track referral activity, leads, assessments, conversions, new clients, lost clients, and other key growth metrics. Maintain consistent follow-up with prospects and referral partners. Support digital marketing and other lead-generation initiatives when appropriate. Client Experience & Retention Help ensure every new client receives a professional and organized start of care. Establish and maintain a communication process for new clients that includes appropriate caregiver introductions, service follow-up, and ongoing relationship management. Monitor client satisfaction and respond quickly when service concerns arise. Work with scheduling and care teams to reduce missed shifts, service interruptions, and preventable client losses. Help identify opportunities to expand services for existing clients when additional care would be beneficial. Maintain strong relationships with clients, families, referral sources, and other stakeholders. Caregiver & Staffing Performance Work with recruiting and scheduling teams to ensure caregiver capacity supports current and anticipated client demand. Monitor caregiver onboarding, availability, utilization, reliability, and retention. Help remove obstacles that prevent qualified caregivers from moving quickly from applicant to active, scheduled employee. Support the scheduling team in maintaining dependable client coverage and minimizing unfilled shifts. Promote a professional culture centered on responsiveness, accountability, and quality care. Performance Management Maintain and review weekly operating metrics and KPIs. Use data to identify problems, opportunities, and priorities. Key metrics may include: Weekly billable hours Revenue New leads Assessments Lead-to-client conversion New client starts Client losses Referral-source activity Caregiver applicants Caregiver hires and onboarding Active caregiver capacity Open and unfilled shifts Client and caregiver retention Develop action plans when performance is below expectations and follow through until improvement is achieved. Compliance & Administration Ensure branch operations comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Support accurate documentation, employee compliance, client records, and company procedures. Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and company information. Complete other leadership and operational responsibilities as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience will be considered. Three or more years of experience in operations, management, home care, home health, healthcare, staffing, or a related service business strongly preferred. Previous leadership experience with responsibility for team performance and business results strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong follow-up and relationship-building skills. Comfortable communicating with clients, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and referral partners. Results-oriented with a high level of personal accountability. Ability to identify issues proactively rather than waiting for problems to elevate. Strong judgment and problem-solving ability. Comfortable using technology, CRM systems, scheduling systems, reporting tools, and digital marketing platforms. Ability to develop partnerships and gain commitment from employees, referral partners, clients, and community organizations. Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and create accountability within a diverse team. Ability to work independently while maintaining strong communication with ownership. Home care, home health, senior care, healthcare, staffing, or multi-location service-business experience is highly valued.
