Power & Capacity Origination Associate

About the Role This is a front-office position on our Power & Capacity Origination desk, where commercial instinct and market expertise translate directly into results. You'll work alongside a seasoned team to identify opportunities, structure transactions, and cultivate the counterparty relationships that drive our business forward. We're looking for someone with hands-on experience in power and capacity markets who brings both the market knowledge and the commercial drive to operate at the highest level. Requirements Originate, structure, and execute bilateral power contracts — including physical and financial power, PPAs, options, basis swaps, ancillary services, resource adequacy / capacity products, etc. Build and maintain relationships with market participants, counterparties, and new prospects through cold outreach strategies (i.e. independent power producers, utilities, non-utility load-servers etc. Stay current on power market fundamentals, ISO/RTO rule changes, regulatory developments, and broader energy trends affecting North American markets. Contribute to internal market updates and help develop materials used in client conversations. Participate in industry events and client meetings to grow your network and the company's market presence. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in power markets, energy trading, mid-marketing, or origination Exposure to ISO/RTO market structures (MISO, PJM, CAISO, WECC, SPP, etc.) Excellent commercial / client-facing skills; experience with cold outreach or prospecting is a plus Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Energy, Sustainability, or related field #J-18808-Ljbffr Karbone
