Private Equity Associate, Power

A leading infrastructure-focused investment platform is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join its New York team, with a dedicated focus on the power and energy sector . The role is highly specialized and centered on power generation, utilities, transmission, and energy infrastructure investing . This is a power-focused investing role with deep exposure to control investments across the full energy value chain. The Associate will work closely with senior investors on sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments in core power and infrastructure assets. Key Responsibilities Source and evaluate power and energy infrastructure investments (generation, utilities, transmission, renewables, and thermal assets) Build detailed financial models for power asset valuation, project returns, and infrastructure cash flow analysis Conduct deep due diligence on regulatory frameworks, PPA structures, grid dynamics, and operational performance of power assets Support structuring and execution of large-scale power transactions and project finance deals Prepare investment committee materials with a strong emphasis on power sector fundamentals and deal rationale Work directly with management teams and industry stakeholders across the power ecosystem Monitor and support portfolio assets within the energy and infrastructure portfolio Candidate Profile 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or infrastructure investing MUST have direct experience in power, utilities, energy infrastructure, or related sectors (non-negotiable) Strong technical understanding of power markets, project finance, or regulated assets strongly preferred Advanced financial modeling skills with exposure to infrastructure-style cash flow analysis Ability to operate in a fast-paced, execution-heavy environment with multiple live transactions Strong interest in long-term investing in power and energy systems #J-18808-Ljbffr Alexander Chapman
